Many people have complained about having difficulty finding the shop if they haven’t been to the new location before.  Our apologies…part of the problem is that GPS, Navigation systems and online mapping service (MapQuest, etc.) typically put the shop’s location either too far north or too far south.

This may be caused by the fact that, despite us having a Gainesville mailing address, technically, we’re in the city of Alachua.  Add to that the fact that some list us as being on Hwy 441, while others list us as NW 13th Street (though it’s the same darn thing).

Worse still, many maps don’t account for the NW 43rd Street Extension…and with metro Gainesville being on mostly a grid system, things—especially the street numbers—get squirrelly when roads deviate from right angles.

If you put in the lat-long coordinates on the Contact Us page, you’ll be fine.  If you plug in an address, you may or may not find us.

In a nutshell, we’re just north of the intersection of Hwy 441 and NW 43rd Street, next to Harmony Gardens Nursery & Florist.  Some folks may remember the site as being Angel Gardens, and our shop as one of at least three different restaurants (Daniella’, Sweet Peppers were two).

We’re approximately 0.2 miles north of the 441/43rd St intersection, on the left-hand side.  Look for a picket fence, usually with brightly colored flags on it, huge old oak trees with Spanish moss, and a couple of cracker-style farmhouses.  We’re the yellow one on the right when you come in.

At present, there is no break in the median on 441.  You’ll have to go just past us and pull a U-turn at the Brook Pointe subdivision.

From UF Campus:  If you’re on the east side of campus, go north on NW 13th Street, about 7 miles.  If you’re closer to the west side of campus, go west on Univ/Newberry towards Oaks Mall, and turn right (north) on NW 43rd St.  Take it all the way to the end, turning left on Hwy 441.

Eastside/Duck Pond:  Take NW 6th Street north until it ends at 441.  Go north ~3 miles on 441, just past the NW 43rd Street intersection.

Southside:  Probably easiest to take I-75 north to the NW 39th Ave exit (#390).  Head east towards town.  Turn left (north) on NW 43rd St to the end.  Left on Hwy 441.

Westside:  From Newberry/Jonesville area, go north on 241.  East on NW 39th Ave. or Millhopper Road.  North on NW 43rd St, left on Hwy 441.

Signage:  BTW, we’re still trying to get some proper signage…any takers?  I’m not asking folks to split an atom, fer cryin’ out loud…
